Pasha de CARTIER W3107355 Automatic Chronograph

True to its first iteration in 1985, the Pasha de CARTIER is amplified by originality and uniquely powerful bringing together elements that allow it to break free from classic watchmaking: a square filigree "rail-track" within a circular case, chained crown, oversized Arabic numerals and a sapphire crystal case back to reveal its movement.

Here is a Pasha Chronograph, rendered in a big case at 38 mm (though that is considered to be small in modern days). The design cannot be mistaken, even well-spotted. The dial is quite distinctive, giving a grey hue like a pencil's tip. Decorated with guilloché blooming from the centre, this watch visually shows something traditional watchmaking. On the case side there is what we should expect, the chained crown. For this bears a chronograph function, the crown is not alone, but with other 2 push buttons. All have synthetic black cabochon spinels which blend perfectly well with the grey dial.

Turning the watch over unveils the meticulously high-graded Frédéric Piguet movement. This movement on its heydays was utilised by some of the best manufactures such as VACHERON CONSTANTIN, AUDEMARS PIGUET, BLANCPAIN, BREGUET to name a few. In this case, CARTIER finished it in-house with double C logo. Clearly visible, the column wheel chronograph and vertical clutch help the function operate with such ease.
