JAEGER-LECOULTRE Reverso Ladies Quartz ref. 260.8.08

First launched in 1931, the Reverso saw lights to serve a particular purpose, which was broken glasses of British officers' wristwatches (based in India) while they were playing polo. This matter was conveyed to Jacques-David LeCoultre by César - a Swiss businessman, fathering an answer to the problem. As a matter of course, a case was allowed to be reversed over so that it can prevent the glass from being broken, Reverso was born.

This Reverso ref. 260.8.08 is well-proportioned at a modest 20x29 mm and has a signature stepped rectangular case. The iconic reversible structure is a sweet spot female vintage watch lovers. Neither big nor too small, a decent presence now and then.

The dial is a typical sector dial, with well-sized Arabic numerals and a railway minute track. Divided into 2 parts, the subtly grained in and brushed-like out, the watch gives a nice contrast if closely observed. The sword-shaped hands are thermally blue which clearly stand out above the dial.
