GIRARD-PERREGAUX is one of the oldest excellent Swiss watchmaking manufactures which still operates today. For over two centuries, the Maison has perpetuated expertise in Haute Horology and their watches have marked far more than time, reflecting their ability to bridge between the past and future, technical mastery and iconic design, functionality and aesthetics.
Presented here is a simple GIRARD-PERREGAUX in the early 2000s. The watch was made following the motif “Simplicity is key”, which can show easily at first glance. The case is straight-forward and no fancy details, giving a very well-proportioned effect. The dial is subtle white, elegant and not bland at all. What should not be missed is the set of hands and markers, finished in gold tone for the hour and minute hands, and the same for the markers. They reflect surprisingly unexpected when hit by the light. Not to mention the blued steel seconds hand that enhances the contrast to the next level, and the minute counter adds some nice red accent.
Turning the watch over reveals the in-house manufactured automatic movement, calibre 3300. One of the slimmest automatic movements that contributes to the just-8-mm-thickness of the watch. Well decorated with circular perlage and Côtes de Genève, the movement is adjusted to GP’s highest standard.
