DANIEL JEANRICHARD Automatic Chronograph ref. 27001

The master watchmaker, DANIEL JEANRICHARD, was one of the driving pioneers behind the watch industry, con tributing his gift with innovation in the end of the 17th century.

First taken over by GIRARD-PERREGAUX and then by a bigger name, KERING group, JEANRICHARD (no DANIEL anymore) had its new identity in 2012 and started up with a new mission for research and development. The brand proudly came to Basel World for the very first time, in 2013.

Here shown is an early piece in the late 90s, which still bears the name DANIEL on the dial. Famously known for the TV screen shaped case, this piece has one of the cleanest design layouts. The totally polished case adds a nice dressy touch, with the white dial acts as a good background for the Breguet styled numerals, and 3 well-balanced sub-registers as well.

The main hour and minute hands are finished in Dauphine style, while the hands for the chronograph complication are heat-blue treated. When those details hit a certain light, everything pops out surprisingly.

Powered by an automatic chronograph based on the ETA 2824 with Dubois Depráz module on top, this watch functions as exactly as the OMEGA Speedmaster 'Reduced' (ETA 2890). User-friendly and keeping good time, this watch serves basic needs just fine.
